Annette Petersen created this 2005 limited edition
TSUNAMI REMEMBRANCE piece to honor those lost in the
tragedy in Indonesia. Production of this piece will end

A realistic
symbol of the event, this piece shows a Red Cross nurse
holding the hand of a small child. The small child seems to

with the Red Cross insignia. She wears a blue dress with a
white pinafore apron with pocket. She is carrying her black
"RN" bag. The little child beside her has a hand to her
mouth as if expressing disbelief of what’s around her.

patch. They are standing on a sandy beach.

" WAYSIDE CHAT
" FS-7 (Retired 2003)
Wayside Chat is
#7 of the Forest Scenes series and was created by William
Petersen in 1994. The piece was permanently retired in 2003.
In this vignette,
Mousey has taken a break from his work and is perched atop a
rock wall. He is chatting with Miss Mouse who has been
gathering apples in her basket.
Mousey is dressed
in his work clothes – grey overalls with suspenders and a
blue bandana handkerchief peeks out of his back pocket. He
has taken a large bite out of the apple he holds in his
hand. Miss Mouse wears a dark red dress with a pale yellow
pinafore style apron, and has a basket of apples tucked
under her arm.
 |
| They seem engrossed
in conversation. Mousey’s work tool, a scythe, is
leaning against the rock wall beside him. It stands amidst
some flowers and greenery: yellow hollyhocks and blue star
flowers.
 |
|
At the back of the rock wall is a unique touch – the year of
issue and artist’s name is ETCHED into the large rock at the
base of the wall. The bottom of the piece has all the marks
of authenticity: the inked initials "WP", the white artist &
year of issue sticker and the gold WFF sticker. An
added BONUS is a large gold oval sticker with the NAME OF
THE PIECE.

Wayside Chat
comes to you in mint condition with the original box and has
lived in a smoke free home. This WFF figurine is priced at $
175, plus $ 7 for shipping and full insurance with the United
States Postal Service. |
